After months of planning, strategizing and forging partnerships, Liberman Broadcasting (LBI Media) officially launched Estrella TV as a national network this week. Monday was its debut day, with nearly 70% coverage of U.S. Hispanic households in 24 markets.
LBI owns and operates 7 stations and has partnership agreements with another 17 affiliates. The new network has presence in 9 of the top 10 Hispanic U.S. markets. The company plans to continue expansion.
According to a company press release, LBI produces 56 hours a week of original content and owns a library of 5,000 hours of programming, all produced out of its Burbank, CA studios.
