Corchado selected for Nieman

Congrats are in order for Alfredo Corchado. He was one of 14 U.S. journalists selected for the 2008-2009 Nieman fellowship.

Alfredo, who works at the Dallas Morning News Mexico bureau, will study the fallout of organized crime on Latin America’s young, fragile democracies, particularly the impact on the freedom of the press and consequences for the United States.
