Univisión anchor Jorge Ramos is adding another award to his collection. This time, Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News will present him with the Award for Lifetime of Achievement in Hispanic Television. The ceremony will take place during the 6th annual Hispanic Television Summit in NYC, Oct. 22-23.
Previous honorees: Don Francisco, Andrés Cantor, María Celeste Arrarás and Cristina Saralegui. Noticeably missing from this list: María Elena Salinas.

Sin quitarle merito a Jorge Ramos encuentro Inexplicable que no se honre al mismo tiempo a Maria Elena Salinas.
A. Hernandez says
Hummm…donde esta Jorge Gestoso? Esto, como muchos de los “premios” que se les dan a los hispanos parece que solo es para empleados de Univision….
Cecilia says
P.S. This award to just one member of a team of two reminds me of that saying about Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire: “She did everything he did but she wore high heels and had to dance backwards”

If I were her I’d be GRATEFUL I didn’t get the same award Don Francisco and Critina whatsherface got. Now if some real broadcasting media organization ignored Maria Elena Salinas then that would be something to worry about. These people giving this award, who the hell are they and who cares? This is like getting an award from the local 4H club for having the nicest daises on the block.
Ricardo says
C’mon, the same people get these awards all the time! It’s a little boring, don’t you think? Besides, isn’t Jorge Ramos a bit too young to get a lifetime achievement award or is he expected to retire or disappear?
What are they going to give him when he, well, gets old?
