LATV’s founder and president, Danny Crowe and affiliate relations exec Starrett Berry are out from the Los Angeles-based network. Danny’s contract, up January 11 won’t be renewed and Starrett was laid off in mid November.
According to Laura Martinez, of Multichannel News, the company has not made a formal announcement yet about the executive changes, but LATV COO Luca Bentivoglio was quoted in an interview with another publication saying the economy and a bad year for business were to blame for the shake-up.
Starrett was responsible for LATV’s expansion from a 3-hour programming block to a nationwide property distributed via multicast. American Latino Syndication (ALS) will now take over his responsibilities.
LATV will soon release national ratings for the first time. Nielsen began measuring the network’s national audiences on Sept. 28.
