La Palma, a West Palm Beach Spanish-language weekly and its online site LaPalmaInteractivo.com, will cease operations as of July 16.
The publisher of Palm Beach Newspapers, Inc., which owns La Palma, today announced the closure of the free weekly, because “the business climate no longer makes the publication viable.”
La Palma was launched in February of 2004. Its current editor is Emily Méndez. Some staffers from the weekly will be reassigned within the company.
