La Prensa Riverside‘s circulation will expand from 67,500 to 107,500 starting in August. The Belo-owned paper will increase circulation in East Los Angeles as well as Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The paper is also adding 1,000 racks to its distribution. Publisher Frank Escobedo told Portada circulation will increase by 10,000 every 6 weeks until reaching their target. The increase in circulation is due to advertiser demand. Escobedo also points out the Inland Empire is the fastest growing area in the U.S. for the Hispanic population.
Additionally, starting the weekend of July 2nd, La Prensa will include USA Weekend as an insert. That magazine, published by Gannett, is inserted weekly in more than 700 newspapers nationwide, including Orange County’s Impacto USA.
