Clear Channel this week donated 2 radio stations to the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council, adding them to 4 it previously donated. The move is part of the MMTC-Clear Channel Ownership Diversity Initiative, “an ongoing program to expand ownership and training opportunities for minorities, women and other underserved groups.” The stations will be re-launched with new minority operators and execs.
The donated stations this week are: KFXN-AM in Minneapolis, MN and WTOC-AM in Newton, NJ. Last year the company donated WHJA-AM in Laurel, MS; KYHN in Fort Smith, AK; KYFX in Wabasha, MN and WYNF-AM in North Augusta, SC).
