KRON-4 anchor Ysabel Durón, a cancer survivor and founder of Latinas Contra Cancer, is organizing the second National Latino Cancer Summit in San Francisco. The 2-day event begins tomorrow, Wed. July 28.
Over 200 cancer experts, health care providers, researchers, community-based agencies and cancer survivors from around the country will be attending the summit to learn and collaborate on the latest cancer research and best agency practices impacting the health of the Latino community.
According to an MD Anderson Cancer Center report, the incidence of cancer among the Hispanic population will increase 142% in the next two decades.
