The Orlando Sentinel is reporting a former employee of Univision 26 has been accussed of stealing close to $300,000 from the Entravision-owned station.
Station employees told police the thefts started in 2008. The name of the woman has not been released, because she hasn’t been officially charged yet. But investigators say that if arrested, she could face a felony charge of grand larceny.
According to a police report, Entravision alleges the employee, who was fired in October, stole the cash, replaced it with checks from another vendor and deposited those instead of the cash.
