Lee made this statement regarding the changes:
“The vital role Univision plays in keeping Hispanics informed and engaged in the American dialogue makes us a critical part of the community we serve. In order to build on our strengths and leverage this position, we are making strategic changes to our news operations. This will allow us to increase our focus on investigative reporting, political coverage in the U.S. and Latin America, leverage new media, drive innovation, and further integrate with Univision Local Media.”
