The Dodgers leave LBI Media’s KHJ 930 after a 3-yr run. They previously had a 20-yr deal with KWKW.
The radio broadcast team will continue to be led by baseball Hall of Famer Jaime Jarrín, who has been “the Spanish Voice of the Dodgers” for more than half a century. This year marks Jaime’s 53rd season in the Dodger’s Spanish-language radio booth. He’ll be joined by Pepe Uñíguez and legendary Dodger pitcher Fernando Valenzuela.
The deal has some extra perks. In addition to broadcasting the games on KTNQ 1020 AM, the partnership will include cross-promotional events, an outdoor media campaign and updates on every Univision Radio Group station: KLVE, KSCA and KRCD – all FM stations. The Dodgers will also work with Univision Media sales group to help market the Spanish-language game broadcasts to advertisers interested in the team’s Hispanic fan base.
