Univision is planning to launch a 24-hour news channel this year, followed by telenovela and sports channels, according to Variety.
Univision News president Isaac Lee revealed last December plans to launch a 24-hr news channel. Outgoing CEO Joe Uva announced the possible launch of channels showcasing popular novelas, as well as sports, during Univision’s Q4 earnings announcement on Feb. 24.
