Arias named Comcast’s E.D. of Diversity

Comcast has named Maria G. Arias Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion. In the newly created role, she will direct, manage, and organize Comcast’s diversity program strategy with a focus on recruitment and career development, suppliers, programming, and community investment.

Maria was previously VP of Operations for Comcast Cable’s Southern Colorado systems, in charge of technical operations and alternative sales channels. Before that, she was the Interim VP of Technical Operations for Comcast Cable’s West Division.

Before joining Comcast in 2007, Maria held various government affairs roles in Adelphia Communications and AT&T Broadband.
