Mario quit his job as anchor of WTSP in Tampa in 2008 to become Southeast regional communications director for John McCain’s presidential campaign.
Prior to working at WTSP, he was weekend sports anchor at KTNV in Las Vegas. Mario started his broadcast career as a Spanish sports announcer for HBO pay-per-view at age 19.
