Jorge Castañeda, a former Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, college professor and columnist for multiple newspapers, is joining CNN en Español as a political analyst. Columnist and author Carlos Alberto Montaner is also a new addition to the network’s political analysis team.
Castañeda was México’s Foreign Secretary from 2000 to 2003. He was also a college professor for more than 25 years. He has written multiple columns for the Mexican daily Reforma, the Spain’s El País and TIME magazine, among others. He is the author of 15 books published in Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
Montaner has written over 25 books and numerous columns in various newspapers in Latin America, Spain, and the United States for more than 40 years. His columns often address cultural and political issues related to international conflicts.
