Telemundo has partnered with Gannett-owned KUSA-9 in Denver to produce Spanish-language newscasts starting this fall. “Noticiero Telemundo Denver in HD” will air Monday through Friday at 5:30pm and 10pm, on KDEN-25. The first newscast will debut Monday, October 3rd.
Telemundo staff will produce the newscasts at the 9NEWS Studios, using the NBC affiliate’s assets. The search for the anchors is underway.
The deal was announced by 9NEWS VP and News Director Patti Dennis and KDEN’s Station Manager, Andrés Chaparro.
Denver is the 15th largest Hispanic market in the country. Entravision’s KCEC-50 has had a newscast in Denver for more than 15 years.
