Cristina Saralegui’s return to TV with a weekly show is this Sunday. Her new show, “Pa’Lante con Cristina” premieres October 9 at 7pm ET.
Labeled as a “variety show,” it’ll be 2 hours long and will include English-language subtitles and music performances. In an interview released by Telemundo, Cristina says her show will be “a lot of fun, perfect for a Sunday night.” She says she will be going on location to get artist exclusives and that the 2-hour length of her show will now allow her to do more in-depth interviews.
The first guests on her show: Joan Sebastian, Gaby Espino and Jencarlos Canela. Gloria Trevi will be peforming.
Her first Telemundo special, after she joined the network, aired on May 31st, to great success. The show, which had the cast of “La Reina del Sur,” averaged 2.3 million viewers.
Cristina’s new TV show makes air less than a year after she was ousted from Univision, where she was a fixture for more than 20 years.
