Univision is doing an anchor change for its weekend newscast. Martín Berlanga, who has been doing weekend anchor duty since March, is out. His last day is Jan. 15.
After weeks of rumors and speculation, Univision today named Lourdes Ramos and Félix De Bedout anchors of “Noticiero Univision Fin de Semana.” The new team starts Jan. 21.
Lourdes, who is Jorge Ramos’ sister, joins the network from Televisa México where she has held various positions for over 20 years. She has been anchor and news director for the daily midday newscast “A las Tr3s”; co-anchor of the leading national news program “Primero Noticias”; and anchor of “ECO,” Televisa’s 24-hour news service.
Félix is currently a news co-anchor for Univision’s morning show “Despierta America,” a job he started back in July.
Before joining Univision Félix was a journalist for Colombia’s La W Radio (Radio Caracol), where he was a radio host and member of the station’s news desk in Bogotá.

As always thanks for the information Veronica.
So Felix is going to do the weekend edition as well as Despierta America. Hmm…I guess we will have to see how this turns out…
