Guillermo Sierra is no longer SVP Chief Content Officer at Vme. A spokesperson confirmed he is no longer with the company. He had been at Vme since before the Spanish-language network’s launch in 2007.
According to Laura Martinez, of Portada, Guillermo’s duties are currently being handled by Doris Vogelmann, Vme’s Director of Programming.
His departure comes just 4 months after Carmen DiRienzo left her position of President and CEO, although she remains on the Board of Directors for Vme Media. She was replaced by Alvaro Garnica, a Prisa veteran, to the new position of General Manager. Grupo Prisa acquired a majority control of Vme in 2009.
Prior to joining V-me, Guillermo was the Senior Vice President of Programming and production for Spanish Broadcasting Systems. Before that, he was Vice President of Programming and Production for Discovery Communications Latin America/Iberia.
