KUVS Univision 19, Sacramento was the biggest winner of the 41st Annual Northern California Area Emmy Awards last Saturday, June 9. The station picked up awards in 20 categories – more than any other station.
KUVS reporter Santiago Lucero and photographer/editor, Christian Anguiano were also top winners. They both took home 6 Emmys each.
The Northern California Emmys have a separate Spanish-language contest. KDTV-14, Univision San Francisco picked up just 2 awards, including one for evening newscast, while KFTV Univision 21 Fresno won 7. Telemundo’s KSTS-48 won 3.
