Antoine Sanfuentes, who last year was promoted from Deputy Bureau Chief to Washington Bureau Chief for NBC News, today got another title and responsibility upgrade.
Effective immediately, Antoine has been promoted to Senior Vice President, NBC News. He is now NBC News President Steve Capus’ chief deputy and number 2 man at NBC News.
In his new role, Antoine will have oversight of “Nightly News with Brian Williams,” the Washington, D.C. bureau, strategic partnerships with other NBCU News and information properties, investigative reporting, as well as the network’s diversity initiatives.
In addition to Antoine’s promotion, Capus today also announced some management changes. David Verdi was promoted to SVP of newsgathering, Ken Strickland replaces Antoine as DC bureau chief and Alex Wallacewas named EP of “Rock Center.”
