Reynaldo joins La Opinión from Hoy newspaper, Tribune’s Spanish-language weekly in Los Angeles. He has been with Hoy since it launched as a daily in L.A. in March of 2004. Tribune downsized the publication to a weekly just a few years later.
Prior to Hoy, Reynaldo was editor of Excelsior, the Spanish-language weekly published by the Orange County Register, from 1999 to 2003. He was previously a reporter and assistant editor for Nuevo Mundo, the now defunct Spanish-language weekly published by the San Jose Mercury News.
Update: La Opinión officially announced his hire and confirmed his start date as Dec. 10.
