Calderón rejoins Univision

Carlos tweeted this photo, saying he was happy to be back at “El Gordo y La Flaca.”

Carlos Calderón has been rehired at Univision. Starting today, he will have a weekly segment on afternoon gossip show “El Gordo y La Flaca.”

Carlos was forced out of the company when Telefutura canceled his late-night show “Noche de Perros” almost a year ago.

Before co-hosting the axed show, Carlos was a reporter and fill-in for Raúl de Molina on “El Gordo y La Flaca” from 2004 to 2011 and hosted “Acceso Máximo” on Galavisión from 2005 to 2010.  He was also a host on Telefutura’s “Escándalo” and Univision’s “Lente Loco,” and spent two years as an entertainment reporter for “Primer Impacto.”

Carlos, who has over 42,000 twitter followers, uploaded the photo of his employee badge and tweeted “Guess who’s happy to be back on @elgordoylaflaca?”

Carlos says he’s thrilled to be back on the show: “I grew so much professionally with them.  I consider everyone in the production team as my friends and during all the years I worked with them, I said they were the best people to work with in the world.

I love challenges and that’s why I took on the project that kept me away from the world of gossip for almost a year [“Noche de Perros” late-night show].  But things have a way to settle on their own and I feel blessed that the Univision administration has given me the opportunity to keep bringing a smile to the audience.”
