MundoFox to produce Spanish version of X Factor

MundoFox will add a second reality game show to its schedule.  The network today announced it will produce  “El Factor X,” an original Spanish-language version of “The X Factor.”

Auditions begin in June in Los Angeles, New York City and Miami. The music competition show is set to premiere on MundoFox this summer.

“El Factor X” will be produced by FremantleMedia Latin America for MundoFox.

The soon-to-be announced judges will travel to top cities in the U.S. searching for undiscovered talent from 8 to 15 years old, both solo artists and vocal groups.

No host has yet been chosen for the show.  The English-language version, which airs on Fox, is hosted by Mario Lopez.
