Univision Communications today named Sandra Smester Sr VP of Programming for Univision Network. She was most recently VP of Programming. Based in Miami, she reports to Alberto Ciurana, President of Programming and Content.
In this role she oversees the day-to-day scheduling and strategic positioning of all on-air content for Univision Network.
She also oversees the production of network specials, including Univision’s New Year’s Eve Special, El Grito de Mexico, the Rose Parade and Premios TVyNovelas.
Smester has held multiple roles with Univision for the past 17 years.
