The 3-hour finale of the highly-rated singing competition “La Voz Kids” gave Telemundo the best performance in the network’s history in the Sunday 8-11 pm time period.
More than 14 million viewers tuned in to watch the first season of the show, which ended with 12-year-old Cuban singer Paola Guanche, a member of Prince Royce’s team, as the first “La Voz Kids” winner.
The hit show’s finale delivered 2,601,000 total viewers and 1,338,000 adults 18 to 49, +8% and +11% vs. prior week’s broadcast respectively, according to Nielsen and ranked #1 in New York and Miami among adults 18 to 49, regardless of language.
The grand finale ranked #2 in Los Angeles and Houston, regardless of language.
On the social media front, “La Voz Kids” was the number one broadcast show according to Trendrr with over 85,000 on-air activity and 118,000 for the entire day. On Nielsen’s SocialGuide Intelligence Twitter TV Audience ranking, “La Voz Kids” ranked #3 among all programs in broadcast television and #7 for all programs in cable and broadcast together, generating over 73,000 Tweets for the night. On the digital front, the finale of “La Voz Kids” was the #1 viewed content online and on mobile in the Telemundo.com site, registering a total of 43% of online viewers and 56% of mobile users, according to Omniture SiteCatalyst.
