Univision’s stations in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Austin are celebrating, after they picked up a total of 33 Emmy awards at this year’s 11th Annual Lone Star EMMY awards ceremony held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013.

During the ceremony, Emilio Nicolas, Sr., one of the founders of Univision affiliate KWEX, was inducted into the prestigious Silver Circle of the Lone Star Chapter of NATAS. The Silver Circle honors media professionals who began their careers in television at least 25 years ago, either in a performing, creative, technical or administrative role within the industry or in an area related to television such as TV journalism education, advertising, promotion, and public relations.
The 11th Annual Lone Star EMMY awards ceremony was held for the first time in the chapter’s history in San Antonio.
