It looks like there will be new judges for season 2 of “La Voz Kids.” Telemundo network announced that Natalia Jimenez is the first of three music coaches that will appear on the new season of the network’s music competition show, set to premiere in the spring of 2014.
A spokesman wouldn’t comment on whether any of the season 1 judges would return. Coaches for the first season were Prince Royce, Paulina Rubio and Roberto Tapia.
Born in Madrid, Spain, and based in Mexico for almost 10 years, Natalia Jiménez is an award-winning singer who became known as the lead vocalist of the Spanish pop band, La Quinta Estación.
The first season was a big hit for Telemundo, reaching over 14.5 million total viewers.
The popular reality series features young singers between the ages of seven and 15 competing for a recording contract and a cash prize to support their education.
“La Voz Kids” is a presentation of Talpa Media USA Inc. The show is created by John de Mol, who will executive-produce along with Stijn Bakkers and Katrina Fernandez.
