Telemundo today announced the second season of its highly-rated singing competition “La Voz Kids” will be produced next year from Universal Orlando Resort.
The full service production facility in the backlot of Universal Studios Florida has previously hosted NBC shows including “Celebrity Apprentice” and “The Today Show” as well as SyFy’s “Exit.” It will now host Telemundo’s Sunday night reality show, featuring a wide variety of young talented singers between the ages of 7 and 15 competing for the grand prize of a recording contract and a cash prize to support his/her education.
The show was previously taped at Greenwich Studios in Miami.
“La Voz Kids” became the highest rated Sunday night reality show in Telemundo’s history, reaching 14.6 million total viewers during its first season.
A national casting search for contestants for the second season took place between October and November.
