The 2014 Medallas de Cortez Awards were announced during a ceremony at Radio Ink’s 5th Annual Hispanic Radio Conference in San Diego, held on Monday, March 10.
The other finalists in that category were: Jay Meyers, Adelante Media Group; Oscar Ramos, ESPN Deportes Radio; Albert Rodriguez, Spanish Broadcasting System; and Alfredo Plascencia, Lazer Broadcasting.
Liberman, who was named COO in 2012, has been with Entravision since 2000.
The Medallas de Cortez awards were established in 2007 to recognize excellence in Hispanic radio broadcasting. They were named for Raoul Cortez, founder of the first Spanish-language radio station, KCOR, in 1946.
