Almost two years after its launch, MundoFox execs assured advertisers their ratings have nearly doubled in every daypart, making them “the fastest growing network in Spanish-language television.”
At its third upfront in NYC on Wednesday, Tom Maney, executive VP of advertising sales for Fox Hispanic Media, said MundoFox has “momentum” with the network reach increasing by over 2 million households in less than a year, B&C reports.
MundoFox announced a programming slate that includes new series “El Mariachi,” “Quién Mató a Patricia Soler,” a RCN Colombia remake of Televisa’s “La Madrastra” and “El Capitán,” which was first announced at the 2013 upfront, starring Humberto Zurita, also present at this year’s event.
Returning shows: “El Capo,” “Cien Latinos Dijeron,” featuring host Marco Antonio Regil, and “Noticias MundoFox con Rolando Nichols.”
The network will also launch its online digital VOD platform “Vive MundoFox” in the fall.
Ibra Morales, president of MundoFox, also spoke at his first upfront as head of the network, highlighting the need to deliver quality programming in order to best reach U.S. Hispanic community.
