Reporter Michelle Quesada has left WTLV/WJXX in Jacksonville to start a new job as a Multimedia Journalist at WPTV Newschannel 5 in West Palm Beach.
She did a quick turnaround between jobs. Her first day at WPTV was Monday, December 1. She left her previous station 4 days earlier.
“I am thrilled to be back home in South Florida and I am excited to work for such an amazing station like WPTV. I took this job because I knew this would be a great market to further my career and be closer to home at the same time. My entire family lives in Miami just one hour away,” Michelle tells Media Moves. “In this business you have to move around a lot, but if you can wind up at a successful station in a great market and be close to family then you are very lucky and that’s how I feel right now.”
Prior to taking the job in Jacksonville in 2012, Michelle spent 2 years as an anchor/reporter for WGXA in Macon, where she started her journalism career.
