Starting today, ESPN Deportes is part of Sling TV’s channel lineup. The sports network is now available on “Deportes Extra” – one of two Spanish-language add-on packages the streaming service added earlier this month.
With this channel addition, soccer fans now have access to UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Europa League, La Liga’s Copa del Rey Final and Supercopa, select European FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, and the 2016 UEFA European Championship. Fans of U.S. professional sports can catch MLB, Monday Night Football, NFL Wildcard, NBA (including The Finals) and the College Football Playoff, among other top events.
Dish Network’s OTT pay TV service is targeting Latino bilingual millennial cord cutters, as streaming services at lower costs become a more attractive option to more expensive cable and satellite providers.
Sling TV offers Video-On-Demand entertainment to broadband-connected devices at home and on-the-go for $20 a month. The Spanish add-ons are $5 each.
The company also announced today that the Sling TV app is now available on Android TV devices.
