Despite its 15 nominations, WNJU-47, Telemundo’s O&O in New York only won one Emmy this year, but it was a big one.
The station picked up an award for best “Evening Newscast: Larger Markets” for its February 13, 2014 broadcast of “Noticiero 47 Telemundo: Tormenta de Nieve,” executive produced by Endy Rodríguez.
Telemundo won over WCBS, WNBC and Univision 41 in the category.
WXTV Univision 41 picked up more statuettes. The station won 4 out of its 16 nominations, including Best Morning Newscast for “Noticias Univision 41 Al Despertar” January Snow Storm coverage, produced by Carlos Rizik.
Univision beat out WCBS, WPIX and Telemundo 47 in the category.
