Telemundo’s WSCV-51 in Miami took home 13 Emmys, including outstanding evening newscast in a large market, tying in that category with its sister station WKAQ in Puerto Rico.
Telemundo stations in Orlando and Tampa also picked up awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Human Interest category.
Univision Miami’s WLTV-23 picked up 4 Emmys. Univision Puerto Rico, which shut down news production and eliminated all of its newscasts in October of 2014, got 2 Craft Achievement Emmys for an anniversary special.
The 39th annual awards ceremony for the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) took place this past Saturday, December 5.
