KUSA 9 NEWS announced today that Vicente Arenas is joining its news team as weekend anchor. He starts at the NBC affiliate in Denver on February 17.
Vicente was most recently a Miami-based correspondent with CBS News until September of last year.
Before the network gig, Vicente spent 11 years as a weekend anchor/reporter at CBS affiliate KHOU-11 in Houston.
A Texas native, Vicente has spent most of his broadcast career in his home state. He was previously a weekday morning anchor and consumer reporter at WOAI-TV in San Antonio. Before that, he spent 5 years as a reporter with KTRK-TV in Houston.
Vicente is a former president of the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists.
