Telemundo has unveiled its 2016-17 season programming slate and it includes new and returning original super series, as well as the television comeback of Mario “Don Francisco” Kreutzberger.
In addition to programming, Telemundo announced a development and production deal with the Jenni Rivera estate to produce a bio-musical TV series on her life and other specials.
The longtime host of Univision’s “Sábado Gigante” will be moving to Sundays.
He will host the weekly late night talk and entertainment show “Don Francisco Te Invita,” at 10 pm, closing Telemundo’s new Sunday night programming block “Domingos de Telemundo.”

“El Chema,” a spin-off of the popular series “El Señor de los Cielos” starring Mauricio Ochmann.
“Hugo Chavez, El Comandante,” starring Andrés Parra, is a fictional story inspired on the life of Hugo Chavez.

“Guerra de Idolos” – showcases the lives of those who manage and control the Latin music business in the U.S. from coast to coast.
“La Fan,” written by Angélica Vale, is a comedy about the ultimate fan of a famous telenovela actor.
“Silvana Sin Lana,” starring Carlos Ponce, Maritza Rodríguez and Adriana Barraza, is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Silvana, a wealthy woman who loses everything.
SUNDAY PRIMETIME
“Los Reporteros” – 60-minute news magazine show produced by Noticias Telemundo, featuring reporter-centric investigations.
“Siempre Niños” – 8 pm series starring kids with extraordinary talents.
“ZOOMUNDO” – 9 pm animal show featuring co-host and wildlife expert Ron Magill.
“Don Francisco Te Invita” – 10 pm late celebrity interview show featuring a house band.

“El César” – follows the story of Mexico’s boxing idol Julio César Chávez.

MORNING SHOW
Telemundo will expand its morning show “Un Nuevo Día” by an hour and a half, airing from 7 to 11:30 am ET starting in the first quarter of 2017.
