Telemundo 51 moves Santana & Delgado to AM; Molina to 5 pm; Rodríguez to reporting

From L to R: Adriana Delgado, Harold Santa, Alejandra Molina and David Rodríguez.

WSCV Telemundo 51 is making some anchor changes as it prepares to debut its upcoming 5 pm newscast.

“Primera Edición” anchors David Rodríguez and Alejandra Molina are leaving their morning perch for later time slots.

The anchors bid farewell to their early morning viewers at the end of today’s show and welcomed their replacements.

Harold Santana and Adriana Delgado take over David and Alejandra’s roles starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday, August 10. “Primera Edición” airs weekdays from 5 to 7 am.

Harold, who joined the station in January of 2015, is bumped up from reporter to anchor. Before that, he spent 5 years in Beijing as a news anchor and reporter for CCTV China Central Television.

Adriana is also promoted from weekday reporter to anchor. Since she starting at the station in 2007, she also worked as producer for the weekend newscasts.

Alejandra will co-anchor the new 5 pm newscast with Daisy Ballmajó starting September 26. That’s when all the Telemundo-owned stations are scheduled to launch and additional half hour of afternoon news.

Prior to her role as morning anchor at Telemundo 51, Alejandra spent 10 years at WJAN América TeVé 41 in Miami.

David is stepping down from the anchor desk. He will be doing general and special assignment reporting.

Before his arrival to Telemundo 51 in 2012 from his native Puerto Rico, he had worked as a reporter at WKAQ Radio and Univision.
