Telemundo Philadelphia launches investigative unit

WWSI Telemundo 62 Philadelphia has joined a growing group of stations adding a company branded consumer investigative unit.

Telemundo 62 Responde aired its first segment this week, during the station’s 5:30, 6 and 11 pm newscasts.

Inés Ferré, who joined the station an investigative reporter in June of this year, is leading the unit.

She’ll also contribute to English language NBC-owned station WCAU as an investigative reporter.

Prior to moving to Philadelphia, Inés was a senior reporter for Al Jazeera America. She previously spent 9 years as a correspondent for CNN and CNN en Español. Before that, she was a freelance correspondent for CBS News in New York.
