Univision creates nonprofit foundation

Univision has launched a nonprofit public charity with the mission to promote “the well-being of the Hispanic and multicultural communities.”

Called the Univision Foundation, the nonprofit plans to build upon its existing partnerships with other foundations, such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with which it has been working on special campaigns since 2010.

According to Univision, the Univision Foundation will also fund independent journalism and digital projects that advance education, health and other critical issues.
