Entravision has struck an affiliation agreement with Azteca América for its Las Vegas station KMCC-TV.
Azteca América, now owned by HC2 Network Inc., a subsidiary of HC2 Holdings, Inc., is looking to expand distribution of its network.
Starting this week, KMCC-TV Channel 34 began airing Azteca América programming.
The station was previously a MundoFox/MundoMax affiliate.
Entravision bought the independent station for $3.75 million in March.
In early April, Entravision executed a massive wave of layoffs nationwide. The company’s Univision-affiliated local newscast at KINC Las Vegas was effectively shut down and “shipped” to El Paso.
