Telemundo is changing the face of its morning show host team.
Seven years after co-hosting “Un Nuevo Día,” Daniel Sarcos is moving on to host his own show in the Dominican Republic. Today was his last day.
Ana María Canseco is also exiting the weekday morning show she joined 5 years ago. She announced her departure on Monday, but there is no final date yet for her last day on the air.
An inside source told Media Moves last week of the departures of both hosts, but the company would not confirm them.
Today, Telemundo announced it is adding Mexican TV personality Marco Antonio Regil as morning show co-host.
Regil will join Rashel Díaz and Adamari López starting Monday, April 16.
Regil has hosted multiple television shows in Mexico, the United States and Latin America during his 33-year career, covering a variety of genres, including game shows “100 Latinos Dijeron,” “Atinale al Precio,” and “Minuto Para Ganar (Minute to Win It). He has also hosted “Teletón Mexico.”
Regil will co-host Telemundo’s upcoming “Billboard Latin Music Awards 2018” on April 26.
