Univision has cut loose two of its on-air talent this week.
Natalia Cruz, an anchor and reporter for Univision News and Primer Impacto, did not get her contract renewed and is no longer with the company.
The Emmy-award winning journalist had just celebrated her 12th year anniversary with the network. She joined Univision in March 2006, starting out in New York before moving to Miami four years later.
Univision also opted not to renew Javier Olivares’s contract. His departure from Univision comes less than two years since he was brought on board to launch “Edición Digital,” the network’s noon digital news show.
He appeared in a news brief on Thursday morning, but did not anchor the noon show.
A Univision spokesperson confirmed Cruz and Olivares are no longer with the company.
