Patrick Chalvire has left the weekend anchor desk at KGBT in Harlingen for a better opportunity at another Sinclair-owned station.
He is now weekday sports anchor at KFOX in El Paso.
He was hired to start sports coverage for the station’s 9 pm newscast. He’ll also take part in high school and college sports half-hour shows “Friday Football Fever” and “Miners All Access,” which will air Fridays at 10:35 pm and 11:05, respectively.
His first day on the job was Monday, July 30, just days after his departure from KGBT.
Chalvire worked at the CBS affiliate since 2015, starting out as an MMJ before getting promoted to weekend anchor in September 2017.
Before his move to Texas, he was a web journalist for Fox affiliate WSVN in Miami.
