John Eck is stepping down as Univision’s Chief Local Media Officer and EVP of Technology, Operations and Engineering, a role he has held for almost three years.
He will be transitioning out of the company by the end of the month.
A Univision spokesperson says a search for his replacement is underway.
Until his departure, Eck continues to oversee Univision’s local business including its 126 television and radio stations across the country, in addition to UCI’s technology, engineering, on-air operations, production and project management functions.
Eck, who joined Univision in 2011, took over as Chief Local Media Officer in October 2015, when Kevin Cuddihy left the company.
Eck previously worked at NBC Universal for 18 years.
