Telemundo 47 has added Rosarina Bretón and Eliecer Marte to its news reporting team. The hires were announced after the station dropped two other reporters.
A spokesperson confirmed Fernando Gómez and Nadia Torres are no longer with the company.
Marte joins the New York station after spending more than four years as a national correspondent for Univision network.
He previously worked as a correspondent for Mundo Fox and Spanish Broadcasting System. He was also a contributor to CNN’s Showbiz en Español.
His on-air debut is Monday, November 14.
Bretón arrives from NY1 Noticias, where she worked as a breaking news reporter, traffic reporter and weekend anchor for almost a decade.
She starts at the station next week and is scheduled to go on-air on Thursday, November 22.
Both Marte and Bretón are from the Dominican Republic.
