Carolina Cruz has started a new job as a morning news reporter at WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut.
She joined the Channel 3 Eyewitness News team in November.
Before relocating to New England, she spent two years as a reporter at ABC affiliate KRGV in the Rio Grande Valley covering immigration, border security, and cartel violence in Mexico.
Originally from Colombia and raised in the Midwest, Cruz interned interned at KMBC, KSDK and KUKC while attending Rockhurst University Kansas City, Mo.
She also spent summer as a National Association of Hispanic Journalists NBC fellow.
