Don Francisco says good-bye to his talk and variety show on Telemundo. After just two years on the air, “Don Francisco Te Invita” ends its run this Sunday, December 9.
The program’s final celebrity guests are international chart-topping superstars Luis Fonsi and Prince Royce, with the young and popular Mexican singer Christian Nodal performing. News anchor María Celeste Arrarás is also among the featured guests.
Telemundo canceled the program in July without saying why. But ratings for the Sunday 10 p.m. show were weak throughout most of its time on the air.
Don Francisco, whose real name is Mario Kreutzberger, hosted “Sábado Gigante” for almost 30 years on Univision until the network pulled the plug on his show in 2015. Shortly after, he signed a multiyear deal with Telemundo to develop and produce original content.
“Don Francisco Te Invita” debuted on October 9, 2016.
