Univision is launching the first U.S. Spanish-language news program to stream on Instagram TV (IGTV).
“Janiot: PM,” anchored by Patricia Janiot, premieres Thursday, January 24. Selymar Colón is the executive producer.
The new digital program will focus on interviews, analysis and contextual information about current events. It’s produced and shot in vertical video format for mobile audiences.
The episodes will run 10 to 15 minutes and will be available on all digital platforms.
After its January debut, new episodes of “Janiot: PM” will drop on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET every two weeks.
Janiot joined Univision News in January 2018 as co-anchor of “Noticiero Univision Edición Nocturna” and weekly newsmagazine “Aquí y Ahora.”
Last year, Univision started featuring two of its shows on Facebook Watch: “Real America with Jorge Ramos” and “Noticiero Univision Edición Digital.”

So, let me see if I can get this right.
A bi weekly show, for just one day, 10 to 15 minutes, by a talent that is anything but a millennial, in a format that our main audience won’t watch, using an App that old timers and newcomers won’t never try.
Painful waste of resources. Is Lee’s spirit still there ?
She should aim for what she is really looking after, that 630 pm slot.
By doing so, George Bushes would be better concentrating in such new “competition”, rather than his futile Trump’s obsession.
