Mexicanal has hired Ana Lydia Montoya Herrera as deputy general manager, in a move to strengthen its management team.
Based in Mexico City, Montoya will oversee the network’s operation and production divisions.
She’ll also work in the development of other media business ventures as an executive member of the content division of Atlanta-based Castalia Communications, co-owner of Mexicanal, which operates the channel targeting Mexicans in the United States.
A 25-year media industry veteran, Montoya joins Mexicanal from Televisa, where she last held the position of director of programming for Pay TV. She was previously general director of programming, production and acquisition for Televisa Networks.
